This year had everything a golf fan wants (and needs) - it had the Tiger vs. Mickelson duel ripping it up all the way to the 16th where they posted -10, 2 shots behind the current leader at that time Kenny Perry - the patrons went crazy when posted on the scoreboard at the 18th. Bogeys on 17th and an errant tee shot on the 18th ruined the day for Tiger and Mickelson had similar issue when ended up in the bunker on the 18th still beating Tiger, but who cares a day like this with the green jacket in their grabs...

At the start today, Sean O'Hair had 5 strokes up on Tiger, but at the end that didn't matter. After 14 holes Tiger was still one down but at 15th hole, Tiger made a 25 footer to tie O’Hair - it was not only a matter of time (or so we thought anyway)...

LOS ANGELES -- Play was suspended due to darkness at 6:05 p.m. local time with four players remaining on the course. Mark Brooks (1 over through 17), Bill Lunde (2 under through 16), Chris Stroud (1 under through 16) and Kevin Chappell (4 over through 16) will return at 7:45 a.m. to complete the first round. The second round will begin as scheduled.
