Kapolei, Hawaii, February 15, 2011 — The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) is proud to announce the four winners of the “Parker’s Birdies for Juniors” 2010 HSJGA fundraising campaign. The four winners are scheduled to play with PGA Professional and Junior Golf Alumni, Parker McLachlin, while he is home briefly after competing in the Pearl Open. The juniors earned the privilege for being the top fundraisers during Parker’s quest for birdies.
Hee Sue Condry (Honolulu), Cassy Isagawa (Wailuku), Andrew Paisley (Kamuela) and Kyle Suppa (Honolulu) will tee it up with Parker for a fun day filled with good food, great golf and good company and you can count on lots of stories and photos! The four juniors will join Parker for lunch, followed by a round of golf, courtesy of Greg Nichols, PGA, General Manager Ko’Olina Golf Club, on Wednesday, February 16 at the beautiful Ko’Olina Golf Club.
In 2009, McLachlin created a unique charity campaign based on his “West Coast PGA Swing” where he donated $50 to the HSJGA for each birdie he made during his first six (6) events. Parker’s loyal sponsor and long time junior golf advocate, Waikoloa Beach Resort, matched his donation along with numerous friends and supporters of Parker and the HSJGA. All HSJGA members were asked to solicit as many pledges as possible and the top four (4) would then be awarded a round of golf and lunch with McLachlin. Congratulations to our HJSGA members and thank you to Parker McLachlin for his generous donation but more importantly, his time and sharing his experiences of junior, college and professional golf.
