Kapalua Maui January 8, 2011: After Friday's play with the morning starting with a DQ as "The SPider' was ruled to have moved loose fragments in the path of the ball while it was still rolling the scoring was outstanding with a couple of 64s and a 63 by Robert Garrigus. What a couple of months can do for a player...Robert was out of the top 125 when he got the win in th last PGA event of the year which earned him the card as well as a spot in the season opener at Maui.

Other notibles was that Earni Els is hitting the ball so solid as well as putting great. WIth a -9 Els is in the mix of all and it will be interresting to follow him this season.

The conditions today seems to be somewhat trickier with scoring average over par at this point (Only 12 players teed of so far)...this can change things around for some of the player at the top - our bet is that if tougher conditions Pettersson will win as he is very stable...maybe not shooting a -9, but consistently will shoot ing the -3-5 range.
