Royal Course Description
Royal Kaanapali Golf Course was the very first resort course built in Hawaii. It opened in 1962 and was recently renovated in 2006. The course offers ocean front holes as well as holes with sweeping views of the ocean and Lanai. During the whale season (December – April) whales are frequently spotted. The course design features generous fairways and greens but with trade winds and rolling greens it is a fun challenge for everyone. Royal Kaanapali has hosted LPGA events (1982-85) and the PGA Seniors Tour (1988-2000). The course was also the home of Golf Channel's TV Series, Big Break in 2008. |
