Golf Course Description
The Waimea Golf Course features 6,661 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The Golf Course was opened in 1991 and with its design (by John S. Sanford) it is following the Scottish links features with astonishing views of the Pacific Ocean and the dormant volcano Mauna Kea. The course is surrounded by cattle ranches and Ironwood trees, but the fairways are relatively open to the trade winds providing a solid challenge to all levels of golfers. The Wimea Golf Course is not the regular resort course that you find through the Hawaii island, instead you will see wild turkeys, pheasant and other wild life close to (and sometimes on) the golf course. |
