Golf Course Description
The Volcano Golf Course at the Volcano Golf and Country Club features 6,503 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. This is the oldest golf course on the Big Island and is played in the national park, Hawaii. It is located on the rim of the active Kilauea Volcano, which will provide a unique atmosphere to play golf in. The course is situated roughly 4,200 feet above sea level and it was initially opened in 1922, but Jack Snyder redesigned the course in 1967. When people refer to playing Volcano golf in Hawaii - this is the course they refer to, a must for any avid golfer! |
