Golf Course Description
Makalei Golf Club is regarded as one of the most beautiful and challenging courses on Big Island . It located on the hillside halfway up Hualalai. The course features dramatic elevation (900ft) and amazing views of the Kona-Kohala Coast and on a clear day Maui 's Haleakala. Makalei is challenging, featuring narrow fairways with lots of trees obstacles and the highest rating of all Big Island courses. Being located 2000ft above sea level the course is cool, sometimes even chilly. An interesting feature of the course is that if features views over Kona Airport and the airplanes landing and taking off. |
