Kapalua, Maui Hawaii 3:12 PM HST: First round of the SBS Open 2010 is officially over after Ogivly tapps in for a par on the 18th for a round of 69. It is really tight at the top with leader Lucas Glover at -7 and 5 players one shot behind.
The conditions at the plantation course was great, mid 70s and the wind was favoarable to the players. Dissapointing that the crowds were not larger, but that is usually what you see here at Kapalua - the crowds will not show until the weekend and even then it will me a small gallery.
If we are to pick someone that will be "dangerous" over the weekend we must say Sean O'Hair, he drove 2 par 5s and a par 4 with 2 shots, thus his ball stricking was excellent, if he can keep the putts to around 30 instead of 34 (today) he will be up there at the top.
We will continue covering the event for the rest of the weeek and you can email us with questions at SBS@imuagolf.com. Also, join us in our forum to talk about the day's event.
