Aloha all,
so this week is sort of what my golf game was last weekend, blend...and weak...but who knows, it might still be interesting..
Tournament Name: Zurich Classic
Defending Champ: Andreas Romero
When: April 23-26
Course: TPC Luisiana
So without further delay here are my picks for the week and as always we do use Yahoo's fantasy game, thus the picks are divided into 3 groups where we need to pick 2 players from Group A, 4 players from group B, and 2 players from group C. At any given day you can pick 1 player from A, 2 from B, and 1 from C to "play for you".
Group A:
Well Kenny Perry is a given, I've only used him once so far so 9 more tournaments to go (see Yahoo Fantasy golf rules for more info) and my second pick is KJ Choi, not a great year so far for KJ, but I did watch him in the Sony Open the last couple of years and he definitely has the game, so why not break through this week?
Starter: Kenny Perry
Group B:
This group is always tricky due to the fact that you can pick four players - a lot of potential fantasy points can be gained/lost right here. This week I do not have any inside information so I just picked based on "regular" research. My number one and two picks are Nick Watney and Daniel Chopra and my reasoning is that Nick has been very steady this year and should be able to (in this weak field) to grab a top 10 as long as he makes the cut (has been an issue for him in the past, either a really good result or missed cut...nothing in between. Daniel Chopra on the other hand has not had a great year and he has since last years victory on Maui not been able to find that spark in his golf game. This is the dark horse of the week. Rory Sabbatini and Andres Romero are the final 2 in the B group; not sure what to say regarding these...just that Andres is the reign champ and Rory, well I just have a hunch...
Starters: Nick Watney and Rory Sabbatini
Group C:
Well sooner or later we will have a top 10 for a Hawaii player...maybe this week...yes I know this is not a smart choice, but I will select Dean Wilson (yes again) and hope for the best...my second pick is Charles Howell III - this is one of the former young guns that never really did breakout to a superstar...I mean, he is a good player, but not a tigeresk great player...time to shape up Howell!
Starter: Charles Howell III
Let me know your thoughts and if you use Yahoo fantasy game as well let me know your picks.
Aloha
