Aloha all,
so last week was interesting and exciting even though Tiger was not in the field, I did route for Fred Couples but with the final stretch of the 16th, 17th, and 18th (which by the way played as a par 5 with average over 5.2...on a par 4). I didn't have a great week...just awful... but here is a recap of last week's picks and the result:
Rory McIIroy 19th
Camilo Villegas 42nd
Davis Love III 52nd
Charles Howell III 59th...
Well, this week it cannot get any worse so let us find some dark horses that will actually excel - I will need that to catch some of the other players in the fantasy league I'm playing in.....
Tournament Name: The Masters
Defending Champ: Tiger Woods
When: April 9-12
Course: Augusta National
So without further delay here are my picks for the week and as always we do use Yahoo's fantasy game, thus the picks are divided into 3 groups where we need to pick 2 players from Group A, 4 players from group B, and 2 players from group C. At any given day you can pick 1 player from A, 2 from B, and 1 from C to "play for you".
Group A:
Well I will (of course) pick Tiger, but as a second place not really sure at this point...with Mickelson shooting an 8 over last week I will go with Sergio Garcia instead.
Starter: I will start with Tiger
Group B:
This group was somewhat tricky (as always), but I'll try to use the inside info I did get earlier this week (as always) for my picks so here we go: Adam Scott - still struggling but if he is to get into the top-10 of the rankings he needs to start scoring much better and I believe this is a course that fits his eye. My second pick is another solid player that we're expecting great things from this year - just as he played 2 years ago - Steve Stricker. My next 2 picks are the dark horses of the Masters - Rory McIIroy and Carl Petterson, Rory has the potential to actually win this tournament while Carl is always solid in these type of events.
Starters: Adam Scott and Steve Stricker
Group C:
This is a great group, I do believe this group can have the winner in it (in case Tiger breaks 2 legs....lol). My picks are Henrik Stenson and Retief Goosen. Goosen won a couple of weeks back and Henrik is always stable in all the big events.
Starter: Henrik Stenson
Let me know your thoughts and if you use Yahoo fantasy game as well let me know your picks.
Aloha
